Kelly Hoernig has a fine arts degree from the American Academy of Art in Chicago where she studied Architectural Rendering, Watercolor and Lettering. She worked in advertising for 10 years and now designs for the decorative painting market. Being a member of the Society of Decorative Painters (SDP) and the former Society of Craft Designers (SCD) has allowed her to develop and explore the many avenues of designing. Establishing herself as a designer in the decorative painting market has taken her from exhibiting to teaching across the United States. Her designs can be found in many leading decorative painting and crafting magazines as well as books from top-of-the-line publishers. She now enjoys painting, doing colored pencils, teaching and designing from her studio in a wonderful country setting.
